How does the service work?

The ISA administration is provided by Jarvis Investment Management Ltd. Full details of the service together with the scale of charges and the terms and conditions can be found in the brochure.

How do I open an account?

If you would like to open an account, please download an application form. Complete the form and return it together with a W-8BEN. Please note that we cannot open an account unless both these documents have been completed and returned.

Once we have received your completed documentation (these must be the originals and not copies), we will open your new Stocks and Shares ISA and send you confirmation of the account number.

Jarvis will then forward your application details to Goldman Sachs who will allocate an internal trading number – please note that this process may take a couple of days. As soon as Jarvis receive confirmation that an internal account has been opened, we will advise you that your account is ready for trading.

How do I fund my ISA?

You can fund your ISA by:

  • Debit Card – complete the ‘Debit Card Details’ section of the application form or call us on 01892 700834.
  • Cheque – Please make cheques payable to "Jarvis Investment Management Ltd".
  • Once your account is open, you can make a subscription or 'top-up' by logging on and clicking on the 'Make a Payment' link that can be found on the left hand side of the screen.

How do I place a Deal?

You must first obtain permission from the Goldman Sachs Compliance Department. Once this has been obtained, simply call us on 01892 700834 with details of your order. Please have your Jarvis account number available. Confirmation of your deal will be made by contract note –a contract note will only be issued once we have received confirmation of the price from the Goldman Sachs Employee Dealing Desk, with whom we will place the trade. Please note that we may not receive confirmation of the price until the following day.

What are the charges?

Can I view my portfolio online?

Yes you can. When we send you confirmation that your account is ready for trading, we will also issue you with a Username and Password. You can then view your account by clicking on the ‘Log In’ button at the top of this page. Please note that you can only view your account – you cannot place trades online.
